Financed music services? Mixing and mastering, marketing, distribution, design and management for $166 bucks? What the hell kind of scam is this? Just an example of the power of Leyenda Records. Independent musicians cant miss this read.

Mixing, mastering, marketing, distribution, management, production, design and graphics are just some of the services this power house label offers to everyone. Leyenda Records has officially opened the studio branch which is to be the internet hot spot for a one stop go on all of what an independent musicians need.

Taking another leap forward into the convenience of the web, Leyenda Records even offers financing options on these services! Serious musicians know how much money it costs to pay for all these services going to different places. The average tab at a studio to master your first 2 or 3 singles might be $300-400 bucks. You might spend another $300 to $600 on hiring a social network marketer or spend even more for article placement. It’ll cost you another $50 to list your songs depending on your distributor and another $1,000 for your website, graphics and even more for production! All in all, your facing multiple thousands per project!

Imagine you could go to one spot and get all those services done on one tab, with easy financing options and the same quality you could expect from professional firms that specialize in ONLY one kind of service.

It’s all possible now! There’s no corners to be cut, Leyenda uses the same high end mixing/mastering gear, the same methods of consulting and personalization to design, the same marketing techniques as the big boys. It’s all in house and all financed by us.

It’s simple, first, you pick one of the three packages. You get a phone call, talk to a consultant, they learn your needs, and we tackle the services one at a time till your satisfied. Make your first payment, receive all your services and just pay the rest like you would a phone bill every month. It’s that easy. You’ll feel like you’ve got the force of a label behind you, because, well… you do! – but your still independent in the end.

$166 bucks can basically get your career going whether you have music already or not. There’s just so much to be said about this, but it’s mostly self-explanatory that this is pretty much all you need as a musician. If you got something in mind for your next project, stop what your doing and look at this first!

Check it out at www.leyendarecords.com/studio

Luck was at it’s weakest point for the rapper out of the bay area. A couple difficult months carried issues and setbacks, including a house fire, which placed BBS in a difficult spot to make progress.

“I’m ready” was all BBS had to say in a phone conversation with Nostalgic. “It was a sign for me to either do something with this rap shit, or don’t.” The realignment of his life didn’t happen immediately, but a positive and mindset helped keep his focus.

“He seemed like he felt he needed to produce…the whole experience I think just made him hungrier,” said Nostalgic. The conversation was a mental refocus that everybody needed.

More so, BBS finally hit the studio and recorded a track titled “Livin’ That Life”. BBS sent it over to Nostalgic for mixing and mastering.

“This shit is pretty fresh…it’s definitely something that shows hes willing to put out quality material. I’ve got a lot of production lined up for him, BBS should be the first thing out the gate as far as projects I have in the works. He’s got a lot of people looking forward to him.”

Expect tracks from BBS soon!

Arsenal opens the notebook for a long year of practice. Get a glimpse on what life has been like since Arsenal made his return to California and how he's been able to make steady progress to lead up to his first release as an alumni artist with Leyenda Records.

Alumni artist, Arsenal, as you may know, has been back in California for about 2 months now. As Nostalgic noted in an earlier interview, the two would be regularly communicating and working by means of the internet until the time he returns in Spring 2010. With some setbacks regarding that issue, the two had their doubts things would go so smooth in the mean time, but its been better than expected.

Nostalgic has been on fire with his production and has regularly updated Arsenal with hot, fresh instrumentals and some exciting things for Arsenal to work with. Nostalgic, who is now selling beats via www.theofficialnostalgic.com, has a nice library of instrumentals that have even been in the mix for choices.

Arsenal will continue writing and working on his craft before recording this Spring and has made significant progress, carrying the instrumentals around in his MP3 player and constantly contemplating ideas for projects at hand.

A must read overview and interview of an inspiring, unforgettable journey. Arsenal and Nostalgic had all intentions to spend the summer working on a project for Arsenals debut until some drastic events changed their course. Read more about the drama here!

After spending the summer as an alumni artist, working with Nostalgic at his personal home in Northern Virginia, Arsenal has experienced the east coast for the first time in his life. 3,000 miles away from home, you could almost call it a foreign land to the rapper from Porterville, CA. Three months ago, just as June begun, Arsenal touched down at the Dulles Airport and from there received bad personal news involving his relationship. Arsenal spent the entire first month in a position of complete lock down and had not much drive to work at all. The time was spent sparingly and little of the time did Nostalgic go over music with Arsenal.

Nostalgic: It took a talk and a turn around. Arsenal just got in to a position he hasn’t been in for a long time, so it was understandable. It was a shame to see that him and his girl just couldn’t come to terms, but the reality is, he was in the right and that’s all you can do. When things can’t be compromised, you have to do what’s best, and I think he finally realized making the most out of the trip was the best he could do.

LR Press: What do you think really sparked the turn around?

Nostalgic: Well a man lives by choice. A man knows that life is put in stasis when you fail to decide and but when you choose clearly, your content. Arsenal set his heart out and choose to put himself down for his relationship. Coping with the outcome of negativity is just something he needed to do better. I think he realized you need to put your relationship second, life is greater than satisfying the needs of other people. When you sacrifice your integrity, you become a pitiful object. Live well and die well. R will realize he is not guilty for what happened, as the relationship was no longer compatible with his heart-centered path. I think he was able to depart without blaming himself, and that’s how he continued on.

Two more months pass and Nostalgic and Arsenal find themselves moving into Nostalgic’s new home and flourishing upon the opportunity. Nostalgic served as a mentor and coach to Arsenal’s new image, confidence and overall music ability.

“I winded up producing a few thing’s for Arsenal to practice on and test himself with,” said Nostalgic. “He wrote and recorded some things we won’t be releasing, but definitely things that show major improvement from what he came here with, so now we wait till next year when he moves out here to pick up from where we left off. It sounds like a long time, but hopefully he’ll be able to produce almost immediately.”

Arsenal departed from Woodbridge, VA on a cold morning at the bus stop to prepare for his never ending drive home. A three day trip that would finally end back in his home town.

LR Press: So how was the drive? (haha)

Arsenal: The drive sucked, it was long and tiring. Exauhstion kicked in the 2nd day. Sanity was kept due to my MP3 player. I was fucking hungary, food was scarce. I avoided the bus bathroom at all costs. I was completey miserable. My neck hurt. It was hot. I could complain all day, I was dying. Overall it sucked.

LR Press: haha wow, Now we understand the situation in the first month of your trip here. What was that like for you, and in your own words, since we heard it already from Nostalgic, how did you pull out of it?

Arsenal: It was frustrating, made me very irrateable, annoyed and it really threw me in the stage of not knowing where I was going to end up. I was unsure of myself and pretty much lost. I regretted to a certain degree of whether coming here was a good decision. I tried to figure out how to handle the situation due to the distance. I basically changed my perspective on the situation after the first month in a half or so. I started listening to music, listening to Nostalgic produce and it triggered me to persue what I sought out to become. I realized I needed to be elevated, and I wanted to get better. A lot of it had to do with Nostalgic’s creativity and workmanship. He kept me sane and allowed me to want to produce.

LR Press: So as soon as that situation was out of the way, you must have regretted some of the lost time. Not necessarily because of what happened,, but in the way that it took away from your productivity. How do you feel about that missed time?

Arsenal: Overall, I regret it a lot due to the fact that I left Cali to persue my dream and maybe if I stayed focused I would’ve produced more than what I came back with. Maybe I would have put myself at a level to actually push out more music.

LR Press: So given that, you already missed out on time, since you earlier put the mic down for a couple years. Did that have an affect on your procrastination? You flew out to Virginia to persue, and you weren’t able to.

Arsenal: It affected me deeply. I already knew where my thoughts were going to be. I needed to find out how to elevate myself fast enough to make up for the time, to get an idea of where I should be. Just knowing I was out of practice with every aspect of music, recording, writing, it through me in denial. I didn’t think I would be able to catch on quick enough as opposed if I were to have been where I should have been three years ago.

LR Press: After everything was over in that two months that you did produce, what would you say would be the key things you got out of this trip? What did you get out of staying with Nostalgic?

Arsenal: The key things that I got out of going to Virginia…. start with the building of my character. I learned where my weaknesses were and what triggered them. I learned overall to be more confident and be myself. It helped boost my self-esteem and I’m really grateful for the experience. I learned a lot about myself and alot about music when I thought I knew all I needed to know. What I learned years ago was useless now given what I learned here helped me elevate my image, writing and overall knowledge of music. I’m following some key rules now.

LR Press: Next year your said to be going back and possibly establish a permanent residence. Tell me, how long is going to take for us to hear what Nostalgic and you are working on, and what do you think is going to come out of the situation based on where you left off the last time?

Arsenal: Hopefully the minute I get back, I will be where I need to be and be able to approach the mic more confidently and at a level where I can control the way I express the exact emotion I’m trying to achieve for every individual track. I think a lot will come out of it, because we’ve built the foundation and when I go next year. We’ll be able to produce material for the fans of the label and go out and do what we set out to do.

LR Press: How do you plan on staying sharp for the year that you will be vacant?

Arsenal: Continue writing, making sure I follow the rules and continue to observe myself and my improvement to help my own development. I’ll be recording so I can assure I’m polishing myself and not just sitting here losing touch.

LR Press: Last thing, how did this trip build on your relationship and friendship with Nostalgic?

Arsenal: We became BOSSES (personal joke). Overall it was dope, great. I wish he was down the street. On the Xbox, we’re nerd killers, raping the virgins on Halo 3. Watching Red vs. Blue every time we feasted. It was your typical brotherly bonding. Toasting with the Sam’s! (Read fun facts) We’ve always been great friends but this experience was brand new and overall it was worth every minute.

LR Press: So we’ll be waiting, stay productive!

Some fun facts about Nostalgic and Arsenal’s stay.

- Arsenal and Nostalgic purchased about 6 Sam’s Colas a week (Wal-Mart brand soda). Nostalgic calls it fuel for the late night soul.

- Arsenal and Nostalgic saw the fireworks in DC on the forth of July.

- Arsenal and Nostalgic watched about 20+ pirated movies.

- Arsenal fell in love with Nostalgic’s already beloved machinima, the Red vs. Blue series (based off Halo).

- Nostalgic got Arsenal playing Halo 3 with him for at least 3 hours a day online.

- Nostalgic performed multiple photo shoots for Arsenal.

- Arsenal depleted almost 60GB of memory from Nostalgic’s laptop in music and video.

- Arsenal and Nostalgic had later went on a McChicken eating spree.

- Arsenal and Nostalgic both lifted weights everyday and each lost at least 15lbs.

- Nostalgic (who is head and shoulders taller than Arsenal) was forced to sleep on the smaller couch for the first month and a half of the stay. Arsenal later compromised to take the small couch, after not being able to bear the hilariousness of his legs dangling from the end of the couch.

As of April 15th, Leyenda Records inked new multi-talented solo singer Nanda hailing from Brazil. Nostalgic has leaked the info that the two of them will be working hand in hand together on a single and releasing to the public as soon as the month. Nanda has plenty of industry experience under her belt from her country of origin, and with that, shes ready to take the nation by storm. Combining her unique approach to concepts with her vast range of singing potential, Nanda has been viewed by the label as one of the most talented unsigned secrets to come. Nostalgic gave us the scoop, and let us interview her!

LR Press: Nanda, wow, heard your voice! Congratulations on the deal. How did you get the experience meeting Nostalgic?

Nanda: Oh, thank you. It was a great experience! I had just gotten back from Brazil to Florida, and applied my demo online, Nostalgic heard me, and called me up to tell me he liked my material and voice, so we immediately started making plans of working together, and it obviously turned out to be great!

LR Press: No way, just submitted a demo online? He didn’t find you? (haha) We’re impressed, what’s the story behind your voice?

Nanda: Well, it’s kind of a funny story. Since I was little I loved to sing, but I had a very horse voice, and couldn’t reach the notes. At 12 I got a couple of Mariah Carey’s CDs as a present, and started imitating her and my voice began to change, and I started to learn how to sing on my own. Then joined the school chorus and got in some singing competitions, and that taught me a lot. Later on I
got to be in a band, and got some stage and studio experience.

LR Press: Was all this in Brazil? How did the music scene and lifestyle down there influence where your at now?

Nanda: No, most of that was in Florida., the band and studio was in Brazil. Well, I grew up listening to American music instead of Brazilian, but I’ve always loved and got very influenced by Ed Motta, and Tim Maia, some of the best singers of Soul in Brazil. So there was a mix of different styles that helped me create my own.

LR Press: Your voice certainly doesn’t sound horse anymore! So what’s going to happen first with Leyenda Records? What kind of things are you doing now with them?

Nanda: We’re starting out with a single, we’ll release it, and see how it goes, and I believe it’ll go very well. I’m gonna be writing, and recording a lot at this time, and I’m so happy for that!

LR Press: Any preview of the single yet?

There will always be numerous music fans out there who will never experience what some of the unknown greats will bless out ears with. In fact, millions of people hardly ever look up independent music and therefore will understand no other boundary except the radio and what they see on TV.

It’s obvious why fans don’t look it up. They don’t know what they are looking for or who’s name to follow up on. As shameful as it may be, Nostalgic has made promising moves to break the curse of artists who were doomed to the same horrific truth. In a short year, Nostalgic has brought technical skills, high music standards and a dream together to form Leyenda Records. What is the next step?

Nostalgic has planned a seemingly unachievable goal that has done nothing but progress. Organizing a street team, a label, a web, graphic and audio development organization, help blogs and his own music has been nothing short of a handful of work that Nostalgic calls, “Too Many Idea’s, Not Much Time.” At only 18, Nostalgic has plenty of time.

“That’s the threat,” says close friend Mario (Arsenal). “He’s barely 18, and hes a complete industry package. He’s a mad scientist of ideas with the expert skills to make them work. Give him 5 more years and just watch the things he accomplishes.”

It’s not until you meet him, and realize the things he can do for you that you begin to understand his powerful knowledge. He sort of acts like your best friend. As a matter of fact, that’s what he his. Everybody’s best friend. Everybody wants a piece of what Nostalgic can offer them.
